Psalm 100:4 (TPT) You can pass through his open gates with the password of praise. Come right into his presence with thanksgiving. Come bring your thank offering to him and affectionately bless his beautiful name!
Do you want to train yourself to hear the Father’s voice and increase your sensitivity to Him? Practice the presence of God.
We know that God is omnipresent (ever-present), but do you practice His presence in your daily life?
It means being aware of Him and acknowledging Him from your spirit, the real you. It’s quieting yourself physically, mentally, and emotionally, focusing on Him and Him alone. No distractions.
There’s a connection between thanking God and cultivating an atmosphere conducive to His presence. In Psalm 100:4, in The Passion Translation, the Bible says, “You can pass through his open gates with the password of praise. Come right into his presence with thanksgiving. Come bring your thank offering to him and affectionately bless his beautiful name!”
Did you catch that? We’re told to come into His presence with thanksgiving, and in doing so, it’s also an offering! Psalm 100 has five verses, each one filled with exclamations and exhortations in laud to God.
In His presence is His voice. In His presence is His peace. In His presence is His joy. In His presence is His power.
Take time to practice His presence with thanksgiving flowing from your mouth. Then, quiet yourself; inhale His goodness, exhaling fear, stress, worry and doubt. Learn to simply be in His presence, listen for His voice, and enjoy His Fatherly love.
Prayer: God, You said that You would be a Father to me. I come into Your presence with thanksgiving as an offering. Today and beyond, by Your Holy Spirit, help me be still and let You love me. I thank You for this in Jesus’ name. Amen.
