Message
from the Pastor
February, 2012
Dear Church Family,
“Therefore since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us. Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith …” Hebrews 12 1—2a. NIV
It is during these winter days that sometimes we do not feel like ourselves. We feel like we need sunshine and warmth. Sometimes we seem to have a poor attitude. Maybe it is the “bills” from overspending at Christmas but whatever it is with you that is hindering you, throw it off! Make a determined purpose to run the race of life with Jesus on the inside. He will be your sunshine and your warmth. He will guide your steps, energize your day as you keep your eyes on Him.
Spend time everyday in the Word, talk to God and listen to hear the voice of God. He loves you and wants the absolute best for you. Throw off that bad attitude, throw off that sluggishness, apathy, laziness and begin to run the race of life with new energy and new purpose.
We have both great opportunity and responsibility given to us this year. Opportunity to impact friends and neighbors’ lives with the Gospel and responsibility to do so. Let’s run this race of life to win!
God Bless you!!
